What you'll be doing
This scheme is designed to turn you into a highly skilled project manager and, potentially, one of our business leaders of the future. There are different paths available but whichever one you choose, you'll complete a number of key placements and contribute to live projects.
You'll develop and implement innovative solutions that affect the way HBOS performs. So, it's a chance to play a key part in shaping the future of the UK's fastest–growing bank.
Your development
You'll learn on the job and gain experience as you go. But you'll also benefit from a formal training programme of conferences, workshops and networking opportunities. When you join, we'll assign you a buddy from a previous intake to help you settle into your role. You'll also have a mentor to give you the support you need to develop and progress. Throughout the scheme, your line manager will help you deal with the challenges you face in your day–to–day role.
What you'll achieve
Our aim is for you to become an expert in a wide range of fields, including project management, analysis, finance and strategic insight. As you progress, you'll also develop excellent communication and presentation skills. Negotiating, influencing and managing stakeholders will all be areas you'll need to focus on. By the end of the programme, you'll have the knowledge and business exposure to move into a role as a Senior Project Analyst. Where you go from there will largely depend on your ambition and determination. Many of our graduates move forward quickly into Senior Project Manager positions.
